PRINCE William has paid a moving tribute to an army medic TikToker who was found dead at her barracks earlier this month.
The heir to the throne sent his “heartfelt condolences” to the family of Lucy Wilde, 25.

And he remembered the soldier’s “warmth and compassion” when they met in 2024.
Cpl Wilde was found unresponsive in her room after she failed to attend a morning parade at her barracks in Warminster, Wiltshire on February 5.
William wrote in a moving statement released today: “It was with immense sadness that I learned of Cpl Lucy Wilde’s death.
“I remember our meeting during her time with the Welsh Guards, where her warmth and compassion were unmistakable.
“She served with courage and distinction as a medic and sought always to help others. I send my heartfelt condolences to her family and friends. Colonel William.”
As well as being an “exceptional medic”, Cpl Wilde also posted popular TikTok personal training videos to her 18,000 followers.
The Ministry of Defence confirmed it is investigating the circumstances surrounding the “deeply respected” medic’s death, though said it is not being treated as suspicious.
Josh Wilde, her brother, said Cpl Wilde had a rare “warmth and loyalty”, and had served in the army with “courage and pride” in a moving statement on social media.
“Lucy was strength wrapped in softness,” he said. “She served in the Army with courage and pride.”
He added: “She adored long walks with her dog, the peace of nature, books that transported her, and the sense of freedom found outdoors.
“She had a warmth and loyalty that was rare, a heart that gave even when she had been hurt.”

Josh proudly wrote of his sister’s quiet strength and determined kindness, despite challenges she had faced.
“She showed kindness. She tried. She fought quietly. She protected others. She lived with resilience,” he said.
Cpl Wilde regularly posted fitness related content to her social media pages as well as videos on her experiences in the armed forces.
She also posted touching videos of her new puppy Bruno as well as her travels with comrades.
Cpl Wilde started her army career in the elite Welsh Guards eight years ago, before being promoted to Corporal and transferred to the Royal Yorkshire Regiment at the end of last year.
A Ministry of Defence spokesperson said: “It is with great sadness that we confirm the death of Corporal Lucy Wilde of the Royal Army Medical Service on 5th February 2026.
“Our thoughts are with Cpl Wilde’s family and friends at this sad time, and we ask that their privacy is respected.
“The circumstances surrounding Cpl Wilde’s death are being investigated, and it would be inappropriate to comment any further at this time.”
The Welsh Guards also paid a tribute to Wilde, describing her as an “exceptional medic” who brought “warmth, humour and professionalism” to all who worked with her.
The tribute also cited her “courage and professionalism” for her work in treating Guardsman when a vehicle overturned in a mass casualty incident in the Falklands.
Multiple Welsh Guard soldiers were injured in the incident, and Cpl Wilde won a commendation award for her brave work responding to the casualties.
It read: “She was known for her calmness under pressure, tireless care for others, and unwavering commitment to her role.”
“Lucy had a rare ability to lift those around her. She was popular, genuine and deeply respected. Her loss is felt across the Battalion and far beyond,” it continued.
“Our thoughts are with Lucy’s family, friends and colleagues at this heartbreaking time.
“Rest in peace, Lucy. You will always be remembered as part of the Welsh Guards family.”
The tribute also touched on her work as a personal trainer, saying that through her social media she “inspired many more, offering guidance on fitness, service life and the journey into the British Army”.
