Meghan Markle has been brutally criticised online by social media users following her latest promotional post for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The Duchess of Sussex shared a new image on the brand’s official Instagram page on Tuesday evening (March 3) showcasing a selection of fruit spreads.

In the new image, there were five teaspoons of jam arranged on a white plate, accompanied by a caption describing the flavours. The post read: “Three spreads, each with its own point of view.
“Strawberry for brightness and freshness. Raspberry for depth and gentle tartness. Orange Marmalade for warmth and subtle sweetness. Designed to move easily from breakfast to dessert, and everywhere in between.”
Taking to Reddit to speak about the Duchess’s latest post, one user wrote: “Just a spoonful of slop won’t help the medicine go down. Instead, you’ll need meds for this gastric nightmare.”
As a second user commented: “Three spreads but five spoons? Either she can’t count or two of them are doubled up, but that’s also s****d.”
Others made fun of the caption, with one user saying: “Why does that caption read like a bad incantation or potion recipe? Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Charmed, but that’s just nonsense.” Another user added: “Move easily like she moves from humanitarian work to red carpets? What does that even mean??”
A third one opined: “Doing quality product advertising is not hard. Millions do it skilfully every single day. Another failure, As ever.” While a fourth person joked: “3 flavours = 5 spoons. Math is hard ya’ll.”
One commenter also questioned the overall creative direction, writing: “She is quickly running out of ideas. She’s resorted to spoons on a plain white plate. What’s the aesthetic she’s going for here?”
In response, another user replied bluntly: “Db. A db aesthetic,” alongside a laughing face emoji.
Meghan’s lifestyle brand As Ever was launched last April, with many of her first collections selling out shortly after they were released. The initial drop included items such as strawberry jam, raspberry jam, honey, tea and other kitchen and home goods.
The 44-year-old announced the brand in February 2025, taking to Instagram she wrote: “As Ever essentially means as it’s always been. And if you’ve followed me since 2014 with the Tig, you know I’ve always loved cooking and crafting and gardening. This is what I do and I haven’t been able to share it with you in the same way for the past few years but now I can.”
Although the brand has received mixed reviews, the duchess seems to be continuing to grow launching new products such as edible flowers, candles, chocolate and wine.
