Kate Middleton Stuns in Off-the-Shoulder Bodycon Dress for Glamorous Date Night With Husband Prince William
The Prince and Princess of Wales are making an appearance on November 19 at the Royal Variety Performance for the first time since 2023.
Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out for a glamorous date night on November 19 at the Royal Variety Performance, which supports the Royal Variety Charity and benefits those who have worked in the entertainment industry. Kate stunned in a velvet bodycon Talbot Runhof gown with an off-the-shoulder neckline for the occasion, while William looked dapper in a black tuxedo.
Kate paired her dress with the Greville Diamond Chandelier Earrings from Queen Elizabeth’s collection, a clutch by favored brand Jenny Packham, and Queen Mary’s diamond link choker bracelet.

A lot of water has gone under the bridge since the couple last attended the annual Royal Variety Performance at Royal Albert Hall in November 2023, certainly not the least of which is the Princess of Wales’s cancer diagnosis, which was announced in March 2024; she shared in January of this year that she is in remission. Two years ago, though, the couple had no idea that 2024 was set to be what William later described as a “brutal” year, with not just Kate’s cancer diagnosis but that of his father, King Charles, whose cancer treatment still continues today.

This year marks the sixth time William and Kate have attended the Royal Variety Performance, and when they last attended in 2023, they were joined on a rare royal double date by Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel. In 2024, Charles was forced to attend the show solo after Queen Camilla pulled out of attending at the last minute due to a chest infection.
The Royal Variety Performance has been a chance for Kate to show off fashion-forward choices, from wearing Diane von Furstenberg in 2014 to Jenny Packham in 2017, Alexander McQueen in 2019, Jenny Packham again in 2021, and Safiyaa in 2023.

For her part, the Princess of Wales was at Royal Albert Hall just 11 days prior, attending the Festival of Remembrance on November 8 not with William on her arm but a newcomer to the event—her eldest son, Prince George, who accompanied his mother as William was flying back to the U.K. from a five-day visit to Brazil.
