When Prince Harryand Meghan Markle announced their engagement, they’d only been dating for 18 months and only lived in the same country for 6 months.

Edward and Sophie dated 5-6 years before their engagement, William and Catherine dated for almost 10 years-they learned from mistakes made in the past such as Charles and Diana only dating 6 months and Andrew and Sarah 9 months.
The family was right to be concerned that Harry was moving too fast. He was. When she threatened to break up with him if he didn’t announce she was his girlfriend. Markle was difficult and rude even before the wedding-she never tried to acclimate or get to know the family and their customs, and did not respect the traditions.
She told anyone that would listen that she was a humanitarian, but shit on one of the biggest humanitarian platforms and opportunities she had.
From breaking wardrobe protocols (wearing tights, wearing black) to inappropriate hand clutching while working, signing autographs, talking about Harry in Vanity Fair, and pushing ahead of the Queen she had NO intention of being a team player and felt the rules didn’t apply to her.
When she realized they did, she cried racism and took self-deletion threats while pregnant out of Diana’s playbook.
I don’t think she ever intended on fulfilling her role as a working Royal-not when she thought she could capitalize on it in the US and monetize her title. All she had to do was be patient and unselfish. She could have made a difference.
